Week 3!
We are cruising right along in school! We are working on multiplication and division in math, reading a lot and will start our official spelling groups next week!
Since we only have one computer in our classroom, we decided it would be easier for the time being to split up into “blog watching” groups. We are currently reading and commenting on

One widgit we added was Google Translator. This will enable people from all over the world to read our website in their own language! As we have students with family in faraway places like Portugal, Nigeria and Panama, we hope this tool will be useful to them.

G’day Mrs Benjamin’s class! Thanks for the comment on our blog. Vokis are a great way to introduce your blog to others using voices. All you need to do to get one is click on “Get a Voki Now” under our Voki and it will take you straight to the site. You can then choose the character you want, the background (we chose the beach because our school overlooks the bay) and either type in or record your message! Then post it to your blog! You can also leave comments on a voki by clicking on the last button under the voki!
What a cool idea to put Google translator on your blog. We have a student in our class who speaks little English and would greatly benefit from it’s use.
We are also glad that you decided to use student blogs in your classroom. So far, students in our class seem to enjoy blogging and having thier own space on the internet to put their thoughts and ideas in an area where others can read and enjoy them as well.
